Funeral services for Homer Pefley, 64, 56 E. Main St., will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Eddingfield-Gerber Mortuary’s chapel, with the Rev. Harvey Fleck and Rev. Paul Tonovitz officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. Pefley, a retired farmer and school bus driver for Metropolitan School District, was born March 14, 1907, in Wabash County to Albert and Sarah (Peeples) Pefley. He died Saturday at 6:05 p.m. in Wabash County Hospital after a five-year illness. On March 29, 1928, he was married to Flossie Lewis, who survives. Other survivors include four sons, Homer, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Harvey, Kokomo; Albert, daughter, Mrs. James Ramey, LaFontaine; a brother, Sherman, Marion; a sister, Miss Myra Pefley, Atlanta; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a member of the Dora Christian Church. -- Pallbearers were Dan Lewis, Merritt Haslett, Mark Fisher, Lyman Gottschalk, Junior Lewis and Maurice Frazee.
