Pefley - Elmer C.
Elmer C. Pefley, 77, RR 4, Rockville, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 1994, at his residence. Born February 7, 1917 in Parke County, he was the son of Claude and Gladys Adams Pefley. On June 10, 1940, he married Gwendolyn Phillips, who died December 18, 1993. Retired, he had been a plumber and steamfitter. He was a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Temple Shrine at Terre Haute and Local 157 Plumbers and Steamfitters of Terre Haute. Survivors include four sons, Lance Pefley of RR 2, Rockville, Philip Pefley of Rockville, Gregory Pefley of Montzuma and Noel Pefley of Reelsville; a sister, Milbrey Huxford of Clinton; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were conducted Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home in Rockville with Rev. Ray Douglas officiating. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. -
