Peffley - Samuel 1901

Samuel Peffley died Monday at his home, one and one half miles south-west of town. The cause of death was scarlet fever. The deceased was thirty years and eleven months of age. The funeral was private and the interment was at the Dunkard Cemetery north of Ladoga. -- kbz

Samuel Peffley, son of David F. Peffley, was taken sick with pneumonia last Friday and died Tuesday. The funeral took place from the German Baptist Church, north of town, on Thursday.
Note: (*Later it is said that he died Monday and the cause of death was scarlet fever. He was thirty years and eleven months of age. )
