Peffley - Roland
Roland E. Peffley, 84, of 534 U.S. 20 East, New Carlisle, died at 8:15 p.m. Monday in his home. He was retired from the former Studebaker Corp. Born July 4, 1900, in New Carlisle, he lived in South Bend most of his life before returning to New Carlisle 16 years ago. On July 3, 1925, in South Bend, he married Eleanor Gould, who survives. Cremation will take place and there will be no visitation. The H.C. Amen and Son Funeral Home, New Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Peffley was a member of the New Carlisle United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 294 F&AM, and American Legion Post 297, New Carlisle. --
