Bridgeton - Robert Paul Peffley, 78 of Bridgeton, died Sunday at 12:10 p.m. in Parke County Nursing Home. He was a retired coal miner and employee of Parke County Highway. Born Dec 1, 1897, he was the son of Robert and Jennie Belt Peffley. Surviving are the widow, Dorothy; a stepson, Robert Carpenter of Brazil; two sisters, Mrs. Fern William of Indianapolis and Mrs. Janet Phipps of Greencastle; a brother, Herbert of Indianapolis; and two stepgrandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Barnes Mortuary at Rockville with Rev. Jack Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Clear Run Cemetery at Bridgeton. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
