The funeral for Kenneth "Pappy" Peffley, 64, of 306 A. Meadows, Ave., who died Monday morning in Culver hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Smartsburg Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Wachenswantz officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Powers Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Tuesday. The body will lie in state at the church 90 minutes before the services Wednesday. Mr. Peffley was retired from R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. He retired in 1980 after more than 32 years of services. At the time of his retirement he was working as a material handler in Department CSF. He was a member of Smartsburg Christian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In his free time he enjoyed all spectator sports. Mr. Peffley was born Feb. 5 1917, at Ladoga, a son of Paul and Letha Oliver Peffley. He was educated in Ladoga. He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Hays, and three brothers, Arthur of Fort Wayne, Paul of Tempe, Ariz., and Donald of Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother
