Frank O. Peffley, 74, of 205 S. Grace Ave., died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday in Ben Hur Nursing Home. He was retired from MidStates and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. A former Eagles Club member, he was educated at Ladoga. Peffley was born Dec. 9, 1910, in Montgomery County, a son of Clyde and Helen Nichols(on) Peffley. He married Agnes Marie McCollum on May 31, 1945. She preceded him in death on June 18. Survivors include two sons, Robert Eugene of Lafayette and Julius Wayne of Kentucky; two daughters, Mable Lowe of Ladoga and Ruth Carney of Texas; four brothers, Ernest of Tennessee and Russell, Jewell and Earl, all of Crawfordsville; five sisters, Mable Walker and Mildred Pickett, both of Crawfordsville, Opal Stevens of Florida, Eva Pittman of Attica and Rose Elder of South Bend; and 12 grandchildren. Services are set for 3 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
