Ladoga native Francis M. Peffley, 52, died Sunday in Dalton, Ill. He was born August 6, 1925 at Ladoga, a son of Mrs. Wanda Stoner Peffley of Indianapolis and the late David Peffley. He was an employee of the Interlake Steel Co., Dalton. He was a WWII Army veteran and was named an honorary member of the Crawfordsville Lions Club on return from the Army. He was a member of the Riverdale-Dalton Lions Club. He married Betty Sherman of Lebanon. She survives. Also surviving are a son, David of Illinois; a daughter Patricia Taylor of Illinois and a granddaughter. The funeral will be Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home at Dalton, Charles Miller will officiate. Graveside rites and burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the New Ross Cemetery. - kbz
