Esther Peffley Esther Hunter Peffley, 74, died May 8 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Jim Braswell presiding. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park. Survivors include three sons, Rodney Steven Peffley and Bernard Joseph Peffley of Jacksonville and Gerald George Peffley of Mobile, Ala.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Peffley earned her music degree in Pennsylvania. For more than 30 years, she taught hundreds of Jacksonville children piano and organ lessons from her Jacksonville home. Mrs. Peffley not only provided music for her own religious denomination, but also numerous other denominations in the community. She was presented several awards of recognition and appreciation.
