She had been a resident of Ladoga for about three years. For a number of years she resided with her family, four miles east of Ladoga. Mrs. Peffley was born in Salem, Roanoke county Va., forty-two years ago and came to Indiana with her parents when quite young. In 1896 she united with the Methodist Church and remained faithful to its doctrine. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mangus, reside in the east part of town. On Dec. 25, 1889, she married to Wallace Peffley, who with the following children survive: Ruby and Ruth, at home, and Chester Peffley, of Columbus, Ind. She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Jefferies, Mrs. Mary Lawerence, Mrs. Nora Stowbaugh, all of Ladoga; Mrs. Nona Huffman, of Jamestown, and four brothers, James and Ernest Mangus, of Ladoga, Floyd Mangus of Salem, Va., and Thomas Mangus, of Muncie. The funeral will be held at the Methodist Church Tuesday morning at ten, Rev. R. L. Greenway, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be made in Stoner cemetery.
