Alice Peffley Alice Peffley, 73, of 500 W. Main St., died at 12:30 a.m. Friday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home. A housewife, she was a member of the Smartsburg Christian Church. She was born Oct. 3, 1920 in California, a daughter of Arley C. and Nora Campbell Hays. She attended Crawfordsville schools. She was married to Kenneth Peffley, who preceded her in death in 1981. Survivors include a son, Thomas of Crawfordsville and five brothers, Harold, David, Donald G. and Cleon E. Hays; all of Crawfordsville and Cyrus Max Hays of California. Services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. James Hollis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today. -
