VEEDERSBURG — Mrs. Mariam Grace Peek, 84, who lived here most of her life, died Friday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill for six weeks following a series of strokes. Born Oct. 13, 1881, in Parke County, she was the daughter of James and Lena Hirshbruner Woods. She was first married Dec. 3, 1903, to Linn Ocheltree, who died in 1953. She was married a second time on Dec. 31, 1964, to Claude O. Peek of Indianapolis. She had lived there since their marriage. Mrs. Peek also was preceded in death by a daughter. The survivors include the husband; a son, Claude Ocheltree of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Meleta Campbell of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a stepson, Walter Peek of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Bell of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Frank Burks of Peoria, Ill., and three brothers, Arthur Woods of Boston, Fred Woods of Indianapolis and Charles Woods of Rockville. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Veedersburg EUB Church, of which she was a member. Rev. Harold Morrical will be in charge, and burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery here.
