Darlington, Nov 25 - Mrs. Sarah A. Peebles, 86, one of the oldest residents of the community died at her home 3 and a 1/2 miles South of here, Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Death was due to the infirmities attendent of old age. Mrs. Peebles was the daughter of Wright and Mary Anderson. She was born in Fayette County, Indiana on Jan 7, 1842. Her marriage to Robert W. Peebles took place Nov 26, 1862. Mr. Peebles preceded his wife in death. The deceased was a member of the Friends Church. The survivors are two sons, A.D. Peebles and H.H. Peebles both of Darlington; one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Weesner of St. Clair Falls, Wis; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Haydwood of Thorntown; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A host of friends also mourn her death. The funral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial will be made in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. - kbz
