James Pedin, 80, Dies At His Home- James Pedin, 83, 1012 E. Jefferson St., died at his home at 8:20 p.m. Sunday after an 18-month illness. He was born March 9, 1875, near Temple Hill in Barn County, Ky., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pedin. Mr. Pedin was married three times. He was first married to Nora Johnson. He then married Amelia King. His third marriage was to Vienna Burns Martin. They were married Aug. 26, 1946 in Terre Haute. Mr. Pedin had lived in Crawfordsville the past 42 years. He was a farmer and was employed at Mid-States Steel and Wire Co. for 25 years. He retired in 1941. After his retirement he worked a short time for Frank Taylor in the concrete business. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. E. B. Phillips, pastor of Milwaukee, Wis. Galilee Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday. - kbz
