WINGATE -- Willis F. Pearson of Wingate, who head been ill for about two months, died Tuesday night at his home. He was 68. He was born July 13, 1892, at Wingate and lived all his life here. His parents were Bowther and Rebecca Faulkner Pearson. He was married to Mable Largent of Veedersburg in 1913 and was a member of Center Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Ferguson of Frankfort and Mrs. Minnie Gayler of Wingate; a son, Lawrence Pearson of Rt. 6, Crawfordsville, five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Carl Nisbeth of the Wingate Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
