VEEDERSBURG - Mrs. Cecil (Omega) Pearson, 61, of Rt. 4, Veedersburg, died at 10 a.m. Thursday in her home. Mrs. Pearson was former editor of the Veedersburg News and former crossword puzzle editor of the Country Cousin. She was a member of Prairie Creek Baptist Church. She was born in Fountain County Oct. 14, 1917, a daughter of Vernon and Anna Isley Helms. She married Cecil Pearson in Veedersburg March 24, 1940. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Rusty (Penny) Krout of Rt. 3, Veedersburg; five grandchildren, Jeff, Kevin, Melissa, Brian and Kelly; and three nieces, Mrs. Louise Williams of Dunellyon, Fla., Mrs. Myeerah Rusk of Lake Park, Ga., and Mrs. Virginia Axsom of Waynetown. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Parham Funeral Home here with the Rev. Harry Hybarger officiating. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. - jlr
