Harry Pearson, proprietor of the Oak cafe, passed away shortly before midnight, Wednesday at his home, 516 1/2 Main street.  Death was caused by a diabetic carbuncle.  Mr. Pearson had been in failing health for three months, and his condition had been serious for several weeks.    Mr. Pearson was 56 years old and was born in Crawfordsville.  He resided in that city until 15 years ago when he came to Lafayette.  He purchased the Oak cafe. and conducted a successful business.  Last year he was the caterer at the Lafayette Country club.  His genial personality won him a host of friends to whom the news of his demise was a source of deep sorrow.

  The deceased was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Green, in Crawfordsville, and the widow with one daughter, Mrs. Marie Strayer, survives.  A daughter Katherine, preceded her father in death a few years ago.  Mr. Pearson is also survived by three brothers, George Pearson of Springfield, Ill.; Guy Pearson, of Bloomington, Ill., and Newton Pearson, of Crawfordsville.    The body will be taken to Crawfordsville at noon Friday.  Funeral services will be conducted at Crawfordsville Saturday afternoon.  Friends may view the remains at the home, 516 1/2 Main street, until 11:30 o'clock Friday morning.  Thanks to Kim  H
