Alamo - Clarence (Hap) Pearson, 67, suffered a fatal heart attack at 1:10 p.m. Thursday at his home here. He was born Feb. 18, 1894, in Illinois, a son of John and Christena Pearson. He was married Feb. 12, 1919 to Ruby Hudson. They were married at Waveland. A farmer, he was a member of the Yountsville Methodist Church and had made his home in this community the past 18 years. He was a former employee of the Old Citizens Garage in Crawfordsville. His wife is postmaster here. Survivors include his wife; a son, Carl Pearson of Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Cowherd of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Roy E. Pearson of Leesburg, Fla. And Lee J. Pearson of Kirklin, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Macy of Lafayette, Mrs. Iva Lane of West Lafayette and Mrs. Leona Smith of Battle Ground; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will officiate. Interment will be in the Alamo Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
