Clarence Pearson, 72, a retired farmer who had engaged in farming near Ladoga and New Ross most of his life, died Tuesday morning at an Indianapolis nursing home. He had been in failing health the past year. Born July 1, 1880, near Ladoga, Mr. Pearson was the son of William and Rachel Pearson. He married Melissa Harris of New Ross in 1901. He was a member of the New Ross Christian Church. Surviving are three sons, Ray and Cecil Pearson, both of near Crawfordsville and Virgil Pearson, Frankfort; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jessie Conner of Indianapolis, Mrs. Viola Bidgood, McAllen, TX; and Mrs. Pauline Blessing, Pittsboro; a brother, Charles Pearson, Roachdale, and 8 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Friends may call at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at New Ross. - kbz
