The body of Mrs. Thomas G. Pearce, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glenn McKinney near Newtown on Sunday morning, was brought here on Tuesday and buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery by the side of her daughter, Ethel, who died while Rev. Mr. Pearce was pastor of the Presbyterian Church. They left here in 1910, going to Seville, Ohio. later they were with the ministerial home in NY state where Mr. Pearce died. Mrs. Pearce was born in Armada, Mich Dec 25, 1861; she was married to Mr. Pearce in May 1878. The surviving children are Mrs. McKinney; Mr. Herbert Pearce and Mrs. Ruth Cunningham of Spokane, Wash and Dr. Roy Pearce of Akron, Oh.

Ida Ann Pearce was born at Armada, Mich. Dec 25, 1861 and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glenn McKinney oon Sun. morning, Oct 13, 1929 aged 67Years 9 Months and 19Days. She was the daughter of Norman and Susie Mills Beal. Her mother and one little brother died when she was six years old and she spent the next four years of her life with her grandparents. Later her father remarried and she went to make her home with him in northern Michigan where for a short time she taught school. on May 14, 1878 she was united in marriage to Rev. Thomas G. Pearce, a Presbyt. minister with whom she lived for 44 years, sharing together the toil and privations and joys and sorrows, the happiness and disappointments that come to the country minister and his wife. To them were born five children: Ethel, Herbert, Roy, Virginia and Ruth. While filling the pastorate at Waveland in 1906 the eldest daughter, Ethel for many years an invalid died and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery in June 1922 at Ballston Spa, NY, Dr. Pearce died and since that time Mrs. Pearce had lived with her sons and daughters. There are left to mourn the loss of a dear one, a brother, Asa Beal of E. Jordan, Mi; two sons, Herbert of Spokane, Wash; and Dr. RG Pearce of Akron, O; two daughters, Mrs. Spencer Carmichial of Richland, Wash and Mrs. Glen McKinney of this place; 8 grandchildren, Norene and Lois Pearce of Spokane; Bettie and Nancy of Akron, Norman Carmichial of Richland and Lawrence, Ida Lucille and Marjory McKinney of Newtown. In her childhood, Mrs. Pearce confessed a member of the Baptist Church at Amada, later joining the Church of her husband. Throughout her life she was ever loyal to her faith, ever devoted to her family, striving with a self-sacrifice even to the close of her life for the happiness of her loved ones. Mrs. Pearce was of gentle, sweet, noble character, holding the dearest affections of her sons and daughters and her sons-in-law and daughters-in-law; idolized by her children and beloved by her many, many friends.
