Ladoga, Sept 15 – Funeral services for Dr. SR Peacock, who died at his home Monday morning were held yesterday afternoon at 2:15 at the home and were attended by a vast crowd of relatives and friends, including many physicians from Indianapolis and adjoining towns. The services were in charge of Rev. John Walton, pastor of the Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. HW Steen, pastor of the Presbyterian Church and Rev. SG Smith, pastor of the Christian Church and all paid a beautiful tribute to the deceased.  Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Rev. and Mrs. Walton, Mrs. GE Rose and Mark Shackelford who sang, “It is Well with my Soul,” and “Saved by Grace,” and Mrs. Rose sang, Death is Only a Dream.  The many beautiful floral offerings showed the high esteem in which the doctor was held. The pall bearers were Edgar and Eugene Ashby, SW and Ira D. Foster, WJ Haney and JN Brown. The interment was in Ladoga cemetery.  All business was suspended and all business houses closed during the hour of the funeral. – kbz – thanks Dellie !
