Katheryn Peacock Succumbs At 71 - Mrs. Katheryn Mae Peacock, 71, of 705 W. Market St., died Tuesday afternoon in Culver Hospital after a long illness. She was born March 24, 1888, in Crawfordsville, a daughter of Thomas F. Nancy Anabel Birchfield. She married Jack Peacock, in 1921, at Muncie. He died June 9, 1952. Mr. Peacock owned a garage in Crawfordsville for a number of years. Mrs. Peacock was a member of the First Christian Church and was a charter member of the Faithful Circle Class of that Church. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Glen Hawley of Muncie and Mrs. Violet Draper of Danville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Funeral rites are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Paul E. Million, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a.m. Thursday. - kbz
