Peacock - Jack

Jack Peacock, 70, retired garage proprietor died suddenly Thursdy morning at his home, 708 W. Market St. Born April 9, 1885 at Waynetown Mr. Peacock was the son of Simon and Alberta Maxwell Peacock. He married Kathern Mae Birchfield at Muncie March 3, 1921.
Mr. Peacock attended the Ridge Farm school near Waynetown. He was a member of Youngs Chapel Christian Church. Mr. Peacock who had resided in Crawfordsville since his marriage was the senior member of the former firm of Peacock & Shannon, Pike & Walnut Streets. He retired from active busines in 1948.
Surviving are the widow: four sistes, Mrs. Robert Galloway of near Waynetown; Mrs. Logan Cable of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Charles Wood of Miami, Fla and Mrs. Robert Watson of Indianapolis; three brothers, Eston peacock of Indianapolis; Dallas Peacock of Rockville and Raymond Peacock of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sister. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home, followed by burial at Oak Hill. Rev. John R. Servies will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday - kbz
