MACE – Rachel A. Peterson, 76, of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, died at 3:40 a.m. today in Culver Hospital. She was a member of Mace United Methodist Church and Kings Daughters Class. She attended Ridgefarm, Ill., schools. She was born Feb. 15, 1897, at Vermillion, Ill., a daughter of Fred and Dora Cummins Sisson. She married John W. Peterson on May 25, 1919, at Ridgefarm. Surviving with the husband are a son, Henry of Lawrence; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Peterson of Greenfield; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville with the Rev. Victor Link officiating. Burial will be in Mace K of P Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
