Word has been received in this city of the death of Rev. AO
PENNIMAN, a graduate of Wabash College, class of 1879 at Garnett,
Kansas on Feb 22. Rev. Penniman was a graduate of the Union
Theological Seminary and retired from the ministry several years
ago at age 65. While a student at Wabash College, Rev. Penniman
was a participant in the first oratorical contest ever held in
the local school. He was married to Eva Cumberland of this city,
who was a talented singer.
