Payton - Jackson

Yesterday at his home near Possum Ridge, Jackson Payton, aged about 90 years, died of general debility. Mr. Payton was one of the county’s most respected citizens and earliest pioneers. He entered the farm upon which he has since lived at the government land office when quite a young man. The interment occurred today at the Freedom Cemetery.
