Colfax – Dorothy B. Payne, 81 of Rt 1, Colfax died at 12:21 p.m. Friday in Witham Hospital in Lebanon following an illness of two years. She was born April 26, 1907 in Darlington. A lifelong resident, she was married May 27, 1926 in Shelbyville, Ind to Clifford F. Payne and he died July 18, 1982.  A homemaker, Mrs. Payne was a member of the Colfax United Methodist. She had wintered in Florida the past five years. Also are a son, Samuel C. Payne of Lonoke, Ark and two daughters, Mrs. Loel (Phyllis) Richardson of Lebanon  and Mrs. Robert (Roma) Schrier of Rt 1, Thorntown.
