Claude W. PAXTON, 81 of Rt. 1, Waynetown died suddenly at 1 a.m. Sunday at Columbia, NC where he was visiting his daughter, Margie Cohoon. Mr. Paxton had been a truck driver for Crawfordsville Casket Co. had farmed and had been with Veatch & Pinkerton until retiring 1959. Veteran of WWI. Born June 17, 1894 at Linden, son of William and Belle Weliever Paxton married Pauline Hazzard 1921 survives. Also surviving 4 sons Alva Thomas Dick Joe 3 daughters: Margie Cohoon Irma Dean LaBaw Mary Jane Cale a brother, Ernest a sister, Mary Paxton 9 grandchildren and six greats. Services Wed in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with burial in Youngs Chapel Cemetery.
