Paxson - Elizabeth Hayes

Mrs. Elizabeth Hayes Paxson, 70 years old, a resident of this city most of her life, died suddenly Tuesday night at her home, 212 Covington street. A native of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Paxson was born Nov. 7, 1870, the daughter of Robert and Katherine Hayes. She was twice married, first to Lon Hampton, and in 1900 to William Paxson, who survives, together with a son, Clarence of Lebanon, four grandchildren, one brother, Robert Hayes of this city, three sisters, Mrs, Nellie Stibing and Mrs. Mary Robbins, both of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Clara Dann of Chicago, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were four sons by the first marriage. The body was taken to the Hunt and Reeves funeral home where services will be held at 2;30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with burial at the Masonic cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home as the body will be kept there preceding the rites. - thanks so much to Kim H
