Mrs. Lacie Marie Pavey, 65, a life resident of Cates, died at 10:10 p.m. Monday, Marcn 2, at Lakeview Memorial where she was admitted Monday morning. Born Oct. 6, 1898, in Cates, she was a daughter of Henry and Sarah Abernathy Witsman. She was married March 1, 1919, to Ernest F. Pavey who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lois Lewis of Waukegan, Ill., and Mrs. Wandalene Smith of Crawfordsville; three sons, Lowell and Ronald of Cates and Melvin of Danville, Ill.; a brother, Albert Witsman of Cates; a sister, Mrs. Cathryn Purple of Covington; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pavey was preceded in death by two sons, four sisters, a brother and three half-sisters. She was a member of the Cates Evangelical United Brethren Church. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, where friends will be received after noon today, March 4. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. (EST) Thursday at the Cates EUB Church. The Rev. Thomas Stapp will officiate, with burial in Snoddy's Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
