Patton - Phyllis "Marlene" Miller

Mrs. Phyllis Marlene PATTON, 29, wife of Principal Don Patton of Russellville schools died of a heart attack Feb 27, 1960 at her home in Crawfordsville, RR7. She was born Feb 4, 1931 to Ray T. And Clarice Applegate Miller. Her mother preceded her in death. Survivors include the husband and 3 children; Stephen Ray; David Joe and Dennis Dee, all at home; the father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Miller of Waveland and step-sister (sic half) Joan Miller and step brother (sic half) Ted Miller, both of Waveland. Mrs. Patton was a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College. She taught two years at Ladoga and was Kindergarten teacher in Russellville last year. Member of Browns Valley Baptist Church and president of its Ladies Aid, a member of OES and charter member of Marshall Rainbow Assembly. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Browns Valley Baptist Church, Rev. Jerry Anderson officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Patton resided north of Waveland near Freedom Church. She was a graduate of Waveland HS. - kbz
