Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Patton, 86, of 204 Dubois St., died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday at Culver Hospital. She had been ill for the last two years and hospitalized two days. Mrs. Patton was a cook at Culver Hospital for several years before her retirement. She was educated in the schools of West Point, Ind. Mrs. Patton was a member of the First Baptist Church and the King's Daughters Sunday School Class and Athens Chapter No. 97, Order of Eastern Star. A daughter of John and Jennie Woods Long Kemble, she was born Nov. 22, 1880, in West Point. She was married in 1917 to Fern A. Patton who preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Robert, of Crawfordsville; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Lois Patton of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Opal Locke Rice of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. One son, a brother and a sister preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Powers Funeral Home with Revs. John Servies and Milo Riggs officiating. Special OES rites will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. --typed by Walt W
