Mrs. Israel Patton, an old and respected citizen, passed away this morning at the family residence, 3 miles north of the city. SHe had reached the advanced age of 76, and an attack of the grip is the primary cause that led to her death. Mrs. Patton raised a family of 11 children. The funeral will occur at 11 p.m. tomorrow at Young's Chapel. - transcribed by kbz

Mrs. Israel Patton died last night at her home, three miles north of the city. She was about seventy five years of age. The funeral will occur tomorrow at Young’s Chapel at 11 o’clock. -s
