Laurence O. "Pat" Patton, 62, of Rt. 3, died Sunday (April 20, 1969) in Culver Hospital. He had retired last September after 24 years with the Meadow Gold firm. A Montgomery County native, he was a son of Charles and Nora Breaks Patton and was born June 23, 1906. He was married June 3, 1961, to Lois Kalweit. Mr. Patton was a graduate of Waynetown High School and an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Liberty Chapel Church, American Legion Post 72, the 40&8, Fathers Auxiliary of the VFW and the Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Jodi Patton of Columbia, E.C. (sic-probably S.C.); two step-daughters, Mrs. Sharon Booher and Mrs. Chris Grimes of Crawfordsville; a step-son, James Kalweit of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dee Biddle of Palm Springs, Calif., and nieces and nephews. A brother, Leslie, is deceased. Funeral services Wednesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, with Rev. Everett White the minister and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. The Legion conducted graveside rites. Moose rites were conducted at the funeral home.
