Mrs. Hattie E. Patton, 87, of New Richmond Route 1, died Saturday (Aug. 28, 1971) at her home three miles south of New Richmond. She was born Oct. 22, 1884, near Crawfordsville, the daughter of Curtis and Rebecca Clark Edwards. She was married to Arlie O. Patton of New Richmond, March 1, 1905. They had celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. She was a member of the Liberty Chapel Community Church and had been attending the New Richmond Christian Church. She was a member of the Round Hill Ladies Aid and Montgomery County Chapter of the DAR. She had attended the Old Breaks School. She and her husband had farmed in the New Richmond area. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edward of Crawfordsville Route 6 and Forest of New Richmond; a daughter, Mrs. George Martin of Linden Route 1; a sister, Mrs. Cuba BrinAso of Williams, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a two-year-old daughter, Mary; a sister anal two brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Thomas-Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, with Rev. Richard Wenson of the New Richmond Christian Church officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville.
