Rallying until his recovery seemed assured for a period of an hour, Monday afternoon, Silas Patterson, injured in a fall from a tree at Main & Water Streets Monday noon, suffered a relapse later in the afternoon and died, after suffering intensely. Mr. Patterson, who was 58 years old, was believed to be fatally hurt when the accident occurred but shortly after he had been taken to his home near the scene of the fall, he seemed to grow much better and indications were that the accident would not prove fatal. The man alighted upon his head on the cement sidewalk after falling about 10'. Concussion of the brain set in, bringing about the death of Mr. Patterson. - kbz
