Dorotha June Parks, 71 of Rt. 5, Crawfordsville died this morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette.  Her memberships included Smartsburg Christian Church and Ladies Aid. She was a 1935 graduate of Crawfordsville HS. Mrs. Parks was born June 15, 1917 at Crawfordsville to Harry E. and Ethel M. Earl Dawson.  She was married to Emery L. Parks on Dec 25, 1937 at Smartsburg. He survives. Also surviving are a son, Mike of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Mrs. Mark (Diana) Massing and Mrs. Carl L. (Janie) Pate, both of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Stephen D (Carol) Morrison of Attica; three brothers, George, Russell P. and Harry  Junior Dawson, all of Crawfordsville; five sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Jane) Swank; Mrs. Frazier (Ruth) Johnson, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Wildman and Mrs. Kenneth (Narjorie) Randolph all of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Harold (Ruby) Cline of Amarillo, Texas and 9 grandchildren. A sister, Midge and a grandson preceded her in death. Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Smartsburg Christian Church with Rev. Gregg Blakley-Lombard officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home at Crawfordsville and one hour prior to services. Memorial may be made in the form of contributions to Smartsburg Christian Church.

Crawfordsville - Dorotha J. Parks, 71, a homemaker of Route 5, died at 3:41 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Hosptal Medical Center, Lafayette.  She was born June 15, 1917 in Crawfordsville and graduated from Crawfordsville HS in 1935. Mrs. Parks was a member of Smartsburg Christian Church .  Her marriage was Dec 25, 1937 in Smartsburg to Emery L. Parks. He survives. Also surviving are a son, Mike Parks of Crawforsville; three daughters, Diana Massins and Janie Pate, both of Crawfordsville and Carol Morrison of Attica; three brothers, George Dawson, Russell Dawson and Harry Dawson and five sisters, Jane Swank, Ruth Johnson, Betty Wildman and Marjorie Randolph, al of Crawfordsville; and Ruby Cline of Amarillo, Texas.

"Funeral Notices" - same page  Calling 4-9 p.m. today, Powers Funeral Home Crawfordsvlle. The body will lie in state in Smartsburg Christian Church one hour prior to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday service. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery, Darlington. Nine grandchildren survive. Memorials to the Christian Church of Heart Fund.
