Rockville – Mrs. Minnie Mae Parker, 89, of Rockville, died Saturday night in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. Mrs. Parker was a former employee of Indiana State Hospital. She was a member of Rockville Assembly of God Church, Sam Creek Ladies’ Aid Society, VFW and American Legion auxiliaries at Rockville and Nyesville Community Club. She was born June 3, 1891, at Atwood, Ill., a daughter of James and Mattie Shewmaker Hunt. She married Norman Hammond in 1921 and he preceded her in death in 1929. She married Hiram Parker in 1934. He died in 1949. She is survived by a son, Norman Hammond of Tyler Town, Miss.; a brother, Charles Hunt of Hindsboro, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Butler Funeral Home at Rockville with the Rev. Wendell Adams officiating. Burail (Burial) will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
