James W. Parker, 42, 1501 Rosewood Lane, suffered a fatal heart attack Wednesday morning at his home. Mr. Parker, production manager at H-C Industries, Inc., was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He served with the U.S. Marines during both wars. He was a 1943 graduate of Wingate High School and was a member of the Wingate Christian Church. Born Aug. 10, 1925, in Montgomery County, he was a son of Harry O. and Mary Cooksey Parker. He was married Oct. 5, 1952, to Shirley Wilcox. They were married at Darlington. Survivors include the widow; his mother, Mrs. Mary Parker of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Melinda Ann, Kim Marie and Marsha Louise, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Martha Dowell of Crawfordsville; a grandmother, Mrs. May Cooksey of Wingate; aunts, uncles, and a niece. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Finch officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
