VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Minnie Parham, age 89, who along with her late husband had operated the Parham Funeral Home here for over 50 years, died at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, in the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. A resident of Veedersburg 62 years, she fell out of bed a week ago and broke her hip and had been in the hospital since then. She was a patient at the Grand View Manor Nursing Home, Indianapolis, the past seven months. Mrs. Parham was a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church, a charter member of the WSCS organization of the church, a member of the Valetta Chapter of the OES and a member of the Friday Study Club. She was born in Fountain County Aug. 25, 1876, the daughter of John and Margaret Marshall Harris. She married J. Fred Parham July 15, 1903, and he preceded her in death July 1, 1962. Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Huestis of Orchard Lake, Mich.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Howard, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Harris. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Parham Funeral Home here. The Rev. Edith Bruner officiated and burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
