NEWTOWN (CNS)—Harry Willis Palin, 65, a life resident of the farm east of Newtown where he was born, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday (June 28, 1961) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette following several years of failing health. Born Sept. 19, 1895, he was the son of Hiram and Lottie E. Scott Palin. He was married July 12, 1921 to Hallie Stockdale, who survives. Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Maxine Williams of Hubert, N. C., Mrs. Mildred Martin of New Richmond, Mrs. Marilyn Pierce of Plainfield, Miss Willa Palin of Rantoul and Mrs. Vivian Balliet of Santa Maria, Calif.; two sons, Donald of Mellott and Dale in the Navy; two brothers, Scott of Mellott and Ben of Newtown; two sisters, Miss Helen Palin of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Inez DeVault of New Richmond; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Wingate. The body is at the funeral home where friends will be received after noon Friday. --typed by Walt W
