Mrs. Rebecca Morphew Page died at her home early Monday morning after a lingering illness of two yeares. Mrs. Morphew had complained of feeling so badly that morning and called her family around her bedside before she passed way. The immediate cause of death was heart failure. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Morphew and had lived her entire life of 67 years in this community. She was united in marriage to Samuel Page and to this union was born six children: Lona, Elza, Glen, Paul, Mrs. Lillie Pritchett and Bertha who died several years ago. Ther are 11 grandchildren and 3 greats. The funeral will be conducted at the Baptist Church in Barnard where she has been a member sevearl years. Mrs. Rebecca Morphew Page wife of Samuel Page died at an early hour Monday morning at age 67. Although she had suffered with a heart disease for the past 2 years, her death was unexpected by her family. The funeral was conducted in the Baptist Church at Barnard at 10 o'clock Wednesday and burial was at North Salem. Surviving relatives are the husband and five children: Delony Page, Elza Page, Mrs. Lillie Pritchett, Glen Page and Paul Page all living in the community of the parents' home. A daughter, Bertha died many years ago. There are 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. - transcribed by kbz

Barnard -- Rebecca Page died at her home one mile east of here Monday morning at 5:30. Death came after an illness of 2 years and was caused by complications. The deceased was born in Hendricks County March 19, 1 864, the daughter of Joseph and Margare Morphew. She was united in marriage to Samuel Robert Page on April 4, 1881. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and spent most of her life in this community. Surviving are the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lily Pritchett; four sons, Lona E, Jesse, Glen andPaul of near Barnard; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 at the Barnard Baptist Church. - transcribed by kbz
