VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Jane Padgitt, 83, of 416 S. Newell, died at 6:30 a.m. yesterday (March 9, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been a patient there since Wednesday. Born Aug. 15, 1885, at Fairview, she was the daughter of Adelbert and Hannah Lockett Byerly. She was married Dec. 24, 1907, to Harry Padgitt, who died. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. LeVern Wilkinson of Veedersburg and Mrs. Nyle Gookins of Newtown; three sons, Marcus and Floyd, both of Crawfordsville, and Roy of Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Fleming of Georgetown; a brother, George Byerly of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, Lockett. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Sterling Christian Church, The Rev. Bill Wilhite will officiate. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery.
