Again has God in his infinite power and wisdom seem fit to call from our midst another precious soul. But, “there is no sorrow on earth that Heaven cannot heal.”

Mrs. Susie Gooding Parish died at her home near Wesley on Thursday morning at five o’clock after an illness of several weeks of lung trouble. She leaves a husband, three sons, Terrance, Harry and Flora, and two daughters, Nona and Lora, besides a mother, one sister, three brothers and innumerable friends to mourn her loss.

She was a kind and devoted wife and mother, always having a smile and a kind word for all. Her death, though expected, was a shock to her many friends and though “life is uncertain and death is sure,” it is hard to think some times that such is true. The funeral was held Saturday at Lutheran Church, near Wallace. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery beside her father to await the resurrection morn. -s
