Waynetown - Mrs. John B. Kline has received word of the death of her brother, Charles N. Owens, 677 at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at Vauxhall Alberta, Canada. He had been seriously ill since suffering a stroke last June. A son of Charles and Emma Blackford Owens, he was born April 29, 1895 at Waynetown. After the death of his mother he and his sister, Mrs. Kline were reared by an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Runyan. In 1916, Mr. Owens was married to Margie Bowers who survives. In 1917 he and his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Runyan moved to Canada where Mr. Owens operated a farm and barbership with his son until his retirement. They had resided at Vauxhall since then except a period of aobut 3 years when they lived in the state of Washington. Besides his wife and sister, Mr. Owens is survived by a son, Russell; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Conner of Vauxhall and Mrs. Maybelle Jensen of Calgary, Canada; 10 grandchildren his uncle, W.E. Runyan; two cousins, Walter Bickford of Waynetown and Mrs. Nora Jones of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment Saturday at Vauxhall. - kbz
