Charles F. Osborne, 71, who employed for 37 years by the former Johnson Manufacturing Co., died at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Culver Hospital. He had been ill six months and serious for four weeks. The Osborne residence is at 410 North St. The deceased was born April 3, 1892 near Crawfordsville, the son of Washington and Martha Ellen Hoffa. He married Mabel Largent May 26, 1913. Mr. Osborne was a member of the Moose and Eagles lodges here. Surviving, in addition to the widow, are a son, H. D. (Joe) Osborne of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Ball of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Toney of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Elizabeth Beard of Lansing, Mich.; a brother, Harry Osborne of Danville. Ill., and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Madge Janice, and four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hunt and Son Mortuary in charge of Rev. John Servies. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday. The Moose and Eagles lodges will give their services at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. – jlr
