Osborn - Robert Marion

R. Marion Osborn, 63, third generation owner of the Osborn Lumber Co. in Hillsboro, died Friday (April 5, 1974) at Culver Hospital. He had been a patient since noon Thursday and had been in failing health several months. Born Nov. 28, 1910, in Hillsboro he was the son of Freeman and Sue Weidman Osborn. He was married June 29, 1940, in Danville to Josephine Yesunas, who survives. Mr. Osborn retired January 1, 1974, from the lumber company. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High and Vorvallis College in Corvallis, Ore. He was a veteran of service with the Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 188. He also was a member of the Christian church, a past president of the Booster Club, a former member of the Hillsboro Town Board and a member of the Indiana State Lumberman's Association. Other survivors include two sons, Robert J. of Salt Lake City Utah, and W. Terry of Tampa, Fla., Miss Lois G. Osborn of Hillsboro, two brother, Sheldon of Seattle, Wash., and Dale of Santa Rose Tex., and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Noel, in 1973. Rev. Dorman Winger officiated at the funeral services at Crumley-Williams funeral home. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery. --typed by Walt W
