NEW RICHMOND—Mrs. Anna Gertrude Oppy, 79, died at 12:10 p. m. Sunday in New Richmond after an illness of two years. Mrs. Oppy was born on a farm in Coal Creek Township and lived in the township all of her life. Born Feb. 2, 1879, she was the daughter of James G. and Hannah Jackson Miller. She married Thomas Franklin Oppy Jan. 2, 1908 in Crawfordsville. Mr. Oppy died July 25, 1941. Mrs. Oppy had lived in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leveret Binns in New Richmond for several years. She was a member of the Liberty Christian Church of New Richmond. Survivors include the daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Forbes of Largo, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Conner of Van Buren; a brother, J. Wint Miller of Alamo; three nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the New Richmond Christian Church with the Russell E. Brown Mortuary in charge. Rev. John Cacharias will officiate. The body will lie in state in the church for one hour before services. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Oppy's daughter in New Richmond after 7 p. m. Monday.
