Charles J. Oliver, Crawfordsville native, died at 10:45 p.m. Friday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Oliver, 54, was a resident of Clermont. He had been in poor health for the last five months and died just a few hours after his arrival at the hospital. The deceased, who had been employed as a foreman at Allison Division of General Motors for the last 20 years, was reared in Crawfordsville. Survivors include the widow, the former Thelma See of Kingman; four daughters; three brothers, Robert of Crawfordsville, Leo of Corona, Calif., and Alfred of Indianapolis, and three sisters, Mrs. Algie (Evelyn) Eggers and Mrs. Herman (Margaret) Evans, both of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Mildred Wagner of Washburn, Ill. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Conkle Funeral Home at Speedway. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
