NEW RICHMOND — Mrs. Tessie Olin, 83, died at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday where she had been a patient since October. She had been ill 18 months after suffering a stroke. She was born April 6, 1882, in Coal Creek Township to Charles and Margaret Ann McClamroch Patton. She married Lester W. Olin May 23, 1904, at her home in New Richmond. He died Oct. 21 of this year. She was a member of the Elmdale Methodist Church and had attended Patton and New Richmond schools. She lived in the New Richmond area the past 25 years. Survivors include a brother, Arlie of Rt. 1 New Richmond; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Hattie Patton and Mrs. Alice Patton, both of Rt. 1 New Richmond, and Mrs. Edna Patton of Rt. 6 Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Clair and Paul, and two brothers, Ernest and Chelsy, in addition to her husband. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Rob James will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
